Domdechant Werner is one of Germany’s leading Riesling producers with worldwide recognition, since 1780 – now in the seventh and eighth generation – property of the family, today owned by Dr. Franz Michel. The wines are globally exported to more than 20 countries. 

Hochheim – the cornerstone of the Rheingau region – is known worldwide for finest Riesling with world-renowned first documentation from the year 1435.

Domdechaney is one of the best and most famous vineyards in the Rheingau region, classified as VDP.Grosse Lage® (“Grand Cru vineyard”). The vineyard is facing the south with gentle slopes towards the River Main. The soils consists of a combination of loam loess with chalky mussel sediments and the vines are 40 – 60 years old.
